WHY WORK WITH ME? I bring to the table 30 years of experience as a writer and artistic director of the acclaimed touring theatre collective, Guerrilla Girls On Tour. I approached my low residency MFA program at Queens University with a goal: to publish my memoir within two years of graduation. Post grad strategic planning led me to sign with an agent and sell my manuscript. My book was published a little over two years after I graduated. I bring this experience, along with my many years of being a working writer, to help you refine and publish your work with a plan that will not only help you get published but will put into place ways to grow your creative business. As an artist who has written applications, received grants, residencies, awards and fellowships, I can help you with your artist statements, work samples, project goals and MFA applications. As an artist who has done marketing and PR for myself and Guerrilla Girls, I can help you devise an easy social media strategy.

For short term projects I change an hourly rate. Email me for a free consulation on what I can do for you.

The Business of Being an Artist

Sometimes artists need a little help with getting our creative work out and into the world. With over thirty years of experience as a writer and the artistic director of a touring theatre company I offer one-on-one sessions (in person or on-line), on the business of writing and producing theatre including consultations on:

  • Nonfiction Book Proposals
  • How to land an agent
  • Write that query letter
  • Give an unforgettable reading
  • You’ve sold your book, now what?
  • Touring theatre, from contracts to bookings
  • Promote yourself – PR, social media and web sites

While your muse sleeps, get your work out there!
